KEEPING BUSY :)

Oh, I just LUV chenille. I made this chenille scarf for my sons fiance. You have to fold your 3 yard piece of home spun fabric a certain way and then cut all your strips on the bias.
I taught a bunch of ladies in my quilt group at the rec center how to make this.

Next up is my mystery quilt block made from my fabric at the lock-in we just did last sat.
Most everyone does not get the quilt done but you get a good start on it.

Then around 8:30 pm that night Theresa and Sharon (the ladies who design the patterns & put this fun activity together) show you what your quilt pattern will look like. I chose to make the throw size (this brown quilt is the throw size) but, you could make the queen or a king size.

I think the one Theresa made is a queen size (quilt pic below). Oh yeah, and you had the choice to do the dark version or the light version. I chose the dark version like the brown quilt and Theresa's is the light version.

  1. Great scarf Teresa! So that's sewn right? Not crochet or knit? The fabrics you chose for your block are great! That's my big problem: choosing the fabrics that go together.
Still waiting for a lesson from you!!LOL!
    Take care,

  2. Yes Angi, the scarf is sewn using 5 layers of fabric. Jeff said he talked to you and said I better call you.
I will share expertise with ya!

Have you sewn anymore on the lock in quilt, or have you been spending all your time playing with your new toy?? Do you like it?
