Snowman

I designed up a paper pieced snowman. He is so cute, so I made him into a pillow. Put some bally fringe around the edges (That was the first time trying that, but I think it came out ok) and added some square buttons for the coal eyes and small buttons for the mouth. I appliqued the carrot nose on. I really like the ornament fabric.
I have a fall table runner I have designed for applique. Still working on the quilting on that , so I will show a pic soon. My goal is too hopefully sell my designs as patterns.

Sure is cold here in Kansas. We have the weirdest weather goes from 70's to 50's, BRRRR!

Warm Wishes Quilt Pattern

I have been working on this super easy quilt pattern that is called "Warm Wishes". It makes a fast donation quilt. My quilt guild showed a demo on this recently at one of our meetings.
I was so eager to make one I went to Joann's Fabrics that week & picked up some fabric to do one. My plan is to give this to my MIL. In this pic to the left my blocks are sewn together in rows but my rows are not sewn together yet.

Just love the fabric in this. You can find the pattern at www.quiltmaker.com/patterns/details.html?idx=5215

There is a pattern in baby size and one with twin and full size, but you can make this any size you want.

I hope you try this easy, super fast pattern.

I will be making one for our guild for donation.

I am sure I didn't have to go buy fabric for this project but oh well. If you look in my sewing room you can see I have tons of fabric. I am lucky my hubby never says anything about my supply. LOLOLOL

Until next time,
Teresa

Arwen's 1st Birthday

Just posting some pic's of Arwen my grand daughters 1st Birthday. Who needs a fork?

In this last pic I think maybe she was feeling a little sick or pondering on the idea "I can't believe
I ate the whole thing." Soon after this pic it was a trip to the bath tub.

GROCERY CART COVER

I sure know it has been along time since I've have posted something.

Well here are some pics of the grocery cart cover I made for my grand baby Arwen (a.k.a. Sweet Pea) so she won't hopefully get any of those germs on the shopping carts.

I used the Mc'Calls Craft pattern #5721. In stead of the pocket on the front I made 2 loops to hook on toys with those rings. She has a Winnie the Pooh book and a little critter hook on the loops. The fabric I used was Care Bears I found at Walmart.
She seems to enjoy it, at least she gets more padding for her little tushy.

Now working on my next project- a purse with grommets. So stay tuned for that one.

Bee it ever so Humble

Hello Everyone!!!!

I have took some time and worked on my bee wall hanging. I like to do machine applique as long as it is simple. I had also won $10.00 from my quilt guild when we had our UFO drawing. I had gotten 3 of my UFO's done that I had on my list so, my name was in the drawing 3 times. I am so happy. My little sweet pea is 8 months old now. I just love this pic.

Here are my 3 grand daughters with their valentines gifts from me. No candy this year.
Oh! Come on grandma where's the chocolate?

Mystery Quilt 2006

I never posted my pics of the mystery quilt I made. It is called Mystical Twist. This was the mystery quilt for 2006, I just finished it in 2009.
We are getting ready to go to another one on March 20, 2010. They are a real fun time with lots of sewing, eating and meeting other ladies with your same interest.

The mystery quilt starts at 10:00 am and goes until 10:00 pm. You don't know what the quilt will look like until 9:00pm that night. All thru the day you get steps of the construction.
I really like my colors in this one. I have been going to these since 2005 (i think) so that means I need to finish 2005, 2007, 2008, and 2009.

Project Finished

Here are the finished placemats, that was a Christmas present to my mom. I am really loving the purple. I keep forgetting to post the pic of this finished project.

They are reversible. So when you dirty one side just flip' em over. I will try to take a pic when she has them on the table. I used fusible fleece for these instead of batting which I think turned out much better. Oh yeah, and the curved corners were much easier to do when I turned it inside out.

Happy New Year,
TERESA
